UPDATE: MTA STRIKE OVER!

As everybody knows the MTA called in sick today… sick of their pay. Creating an annoying and inconvient situation for all those who live/work or do business with anyone in manhattan. They sure picked a cold ass day to be striking, I know if I was out there on the picket line I would have picked a better day. I just heard on the news that this strike is costing the city 400 million dollars a day. Wow. The situation was particularly sticky for me today as I had to get to the airport (where I am typing this). Cabs were only taking people around manhattan (I had 3 refuse to take me to the airport) my supershuttle driver was 40 min late and this “underground” bus service wouldn’t answer the phone. For a brief moment in time - I felt bad about making my flight. But the situation turned around as the big blue van barralled around the corner. I got to the airport with plenty of time (hence me writing on my laptop) and was even able to get a pretzel, although when I told the “pretzel time” employee that I wanted a plain pretzel with cheese she asked “chedder cheese or nacho cheese”. I have no idea what that means. What is the difference? I got cheddar.
